Film promises to expose Clinton as a product of the Democratic Party’s evil soul

Dinesh D’souza, the conservative commentator, writer and filmmaker responsible for the damning 2013 documentary “2016: Obama’s America,” is promoting a new film which he says will reveal the Democratic Party’s dirty secrets and derail Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

The film, “Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party,” is set for release in July. The filmmaker says his production will reveal the history of Clinton’s progressive politics as well as the Democratic sins of the past she and members of her party have worked so hard to make voters forget.

“In this film we focus on Hillary to be sure,” D’Souza told Fox’s Megyn Kelly. “But we also focus on the whole history of progressivism and the Democratic Party. So we’re telling an unknown story of American politics. And it’s going to roil up this race.”

Anyone who reads history even a little carefully knows where the Democrats stood on many important civil rights issues throughout history– but many Americans are unaware of the facts.

Last summer, National Review’s Mona Charen explained how Democrats have tried paint the GOP as a party of bigots over the years despite clear evidence to the contrary, writing:

You may recall that when MSNBC was commemorating the 50th anniversary of segregationist George Wallace’s “Stand in the Schoolhouse Door” stunt to prevent the integration of the University of Alabama, the network identified Wallace as “R., Alabama.”

The Democrats have been sedulously rewriting history for decades. Their preferred version pretends that all the Democratic racists and segregationists left their party and became Republicans starting in the 1960s. How convenient. If it were true that the South began to turn Republican due to Lyndon Johnson’s passage of the Civil Rights Act, you would expect that the Deep South, the states most associated with racism, would have been the first to move. That’s not what happened. The first southern states to trend Republican were on the periphery: North Carolina, Virginia, Texas, Tennessee, and Florida. (George Wallace lost these voters in his 1968 bid.) The voters who first migrated to the Republican party were suburban, prosperous New South types. The more Republican the South has become, the less racist.

D’Souza believes his film will force the Democratic Party to be honest about its racist past— something disregarded in public schools and obfuscated by mainstream commentators.

Of course, the left is already attempting to discredit his efforts to expose the party’s dirty secrets to the uninformed. In a recent post, Media Matters described him as “a discredited conservative media smear artist who has previously compared President Obama’s father to Ebola, compared Ferguson protesters to ISIS, and produced a movie titled 2016: Obama’s America, a shoddy ‘documentary’ he made smearing the president as ‘anti-American.’”

Around the same time the IRS was exposed for unfairly targeting conservative groups, D’Souza was indicted on Federal charges that he funneled money illegally to Senate candidate Wendy Long. Many conservatives saw the charge— to which the filmmaker pled guilty after months of harassment— as an act of deliberate government retaliation for his anti-Obama film.
