(Mediaite) ABC’s Tom Llamas, the same man Donald Trump called out in front of a room of a reporters as a “sleaze,” defended Trump’s supporters Friday morning, saying they had nothing to do with the violence outside a rally in San Diego.
Earlier in the week, Llamas was rather abruptly insulted during a Trump press conference. “This sleazy guy right over here from ABC, he’s a sleaze in my book,” Trump said, pointing right at him.
But if Llamas was holding any sort of grudge, he hid it well while reporting on the attacks on Trump supporters. “It was one of the most violent scenes I have ever witnessed at a Trump rally,” he said on Good Morning America. “At one point it seemed like the police had lost complete control. People were getting beat up right in front of them.”
