Kasich unloads on Trump, Carson

Ohio Gov. John Kasich says he’s “about had it” with the Republican front-runners.

He unleashed in the opening round of the main debate of the CNBC GOP events in Boulder, Colorado, Wednesday night, slamming Ben Carson and Donald Trump’s financial plans as “fantasy.”

When asked what was his greatest weakness, Kasich instead took on the Republican frontrunners, thundering, “We’re on the verge of picking somebody who could perhaps not do this job.”

He sarcastically summarized Trump’s financial plan as “we’re just going to be great” and described Carson as suggesting funding the government with “a 10 percent tithe.”

Kasich also slammed Trump’s immigration plan, accusing the businessman of wanting to break up families.

Trump had previously identified his weakness as being “too trusting,” though he warned would “never forgive” anyone who failed him.

Visit the WND Superstore tonight to check out the selection of 2016 election bumper stickers, from “Carly for President” and “Trump Real Hope Real Change” to “Ted Cruz 2016” and many more.

And he showed his unforgiving nature with a counter-attack, accusing Kasich of relying heavily on financial gains from fracking to turn a budget deficit into a surplus.

He also brought up Kasich’s record with the failed financial firm Lehman Brothers to attack his economic competence.

Trump also deployed an attack on Kasich’s status, noting how he originally campaigned as someone who was “so nice.”

But now that his poll numbers have plummeted, “he’s on the end, and he got nasty.”

Carson was pressed on his tax plan, and struggled to explain how his proposed tax cuts would not lead to deficits.

In the first of many candidates’ clashes with CNBC panelists, he suggested his plan worked and CNBC was not accurately representing the numbers.

The comments came in the events hosted by CNBC at the Coors Events Center in Boulder, Colorado.

The candidates in the early debate, Sen. Rick Santorum, Gov. Bobby Jindal, Gov. George Pataki and Sen. Lindsey Graham, are polling at the bottom of the GOP field at this point.

The following 10 candidates took the stage later: Donald Trump, Dr. Ben Carson, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul.
