Sam Nunberg, a political adviser for Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump, was fired by campaign officials for racist tweets he made years ago.
In 2007, a tweet from his account called Al Sharpton’s daughter a racial slur and in 2009, another wrote of President Obama as a “socialist Marxist Islamo Fascist Nazi Appeaser,” Business Insider reported.
Nunberg has denied writing the posts.
“I would also point out that all of these things were done before Mr. Trump’s campaign, if I even did them, which I deny,” he said during an interview on CNN.
The campaign move came as Trump, once again, threatened to run as an Independent.
“If I’m not treated fairly by the Republican Party, I very well might consider that,” he said, on “This Week” on ABC. “And I would certainly not give that up.”
As WND reported, Trump has dallied with the idea of seeking a third-party candidacy for the presidency on a couple of occasions in recent weeks.
