George Zimmerman
George Zimmerman, of Trayvon Martin shooting fame, went on Twitter to weigh in on the Virginia shooting deaths of two television crew members, turning attention to President Obama and wondering why the “racist” commander-in-chief has been so quiet in condemning the killings.
Zimmerman, who was acquitted of all charges in the shooting death of 17-year-old Martin, after the court found he acted in self-defense and in accordance with Florida’s stand your ground laws, also criticized the Virginia shooter, Veter Flanagan II, as cowardly.
“Pansy Fester lee Flanagan, too much of a daisy to deal w/racism,” Zimmerman wrote, Raw Story found. “Murders 2 whites. Hate crime. 100%. Racist Obama says nothing condemning.”
Zimmerman slammed Obama for using his presidential podium to press the need for more gun control, in the wake of the shootings.
Obama said Wednesday afternoon: “It breaks my heart every time you read or hear about these kinds of incidents. … The number of people who die from gun-related incidents around this country dwarfs any deaths that happen through terrorism.”
Zimmerman’s Twitter response?
He wrote: “the # of people who die from gun-related incidents around this country dwarfs any deaths that happen through terrorism.” – Ignorant Baboon.”
Zimmerman stated previously he’s had difficulty obtaining employment after his 2013 acquittal. He’s recently joined with the owner of a gun shop that’s gone “Muslim free” to sell Confederate flags.
