Obama and the ‘crazies’

It appears President Barack Obama has returned from his latest party on the white millionaire’s playground of Martha’s Vineyard ready to roll up his sleeves and really buckle down on the business of America. And what was his first big action, post-vacay? More of the same juvenile blather we’ve come to expect from the thin-skinned chief executive.

Attending a party thrown by exceedingly controversial Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, Obama recounted a limo ride with Reid, who oversaw the Democrats’ loss of the Senate majority, joking with the assembled Democrat deep-pockets of his plans to “deal with the crazies in terms of managing some problems.” Obama was referring to opponents of his obscenely ill-advised deal allowing Iran’s islamofascists to continue their progress toward nuclear weapons without being bothered by those pesky types who think Iran + nukes = bad. The “crazies” slur comes on the heels of his disastrous speech in which he slandered opponents of the Iran sellout by claiming they make “common cause” with the psychos who think the Holocaust is a figment of humanity’s imagination.

Unfortunately for our man Barry, it appears no one mentioned to him that the Democrats have begun wandering off the Iranian reservation. With the notable inclusion of Reid’s likely leadership successor, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), the “crazy” appears to be spreading. Throw in the overwhelming majority of Americans who have little positive to say about the scam, and you end up with somewhere in the neighborhood of 175 million “crazies.”

As Obamacare architect Jon Gruber and, consequently, the Democratic ex-majorities in both houses of Congress know, aggressively insulting the majority of the American electorate is generally a poor campaign strategy. Yet the same president who has called us bitter, racist and even stupid has diagnosed the rest of us as suffering from some sort of psychological malady because we don’t share his warm and fuzzy feelings when it comes to the ayatollah.

Of course, we are talking about a president with a flexible approach to politics. What he said yesterday might no longer be operative tomorrow. And so it was with his “crazies” opinion. Later the same day, his spokeshole Josh Earnest sheepishly walked back his boss’s fevered utterance, saying “[H]he may have been a little flip in his language.” Well, I feel better; how’s everyone else? Once again, when the president belittles us, we shouldn’t take offense. It’s just that he’s better than we are.

It’s bad enough that he sneers at us and lies to our faces, but it would be nice if he could at least show us enough respect not to blatantly patronize us. Obama starts “walking back” some foolish exclamation, but he’s already past the point of no return. God forbid he ever apologizes — or at least sends Earnest out to grovel a little bit. I’ve grown wearily accustomed to Obama’s pronounced tendency to engage his piehole before his brain can catch up. His abysmal approval ratings, including those regarding his byzantine deal with the Ayatollah (a deal he has admitted makes the U.S. a state sponsor of Islamic terrorism), speak to the fact that most of my countrymen share a similar fatigue.

Ben to Barry:

Man up, Mr. President. You’re comfortable calling us every epithet you can remember from your days fighting against The Man. Yet when we object, you trot out your minions to “explain” your meaning, as if we’re not well aware of your opinion of the rest of us. “You didn’t build that.” “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.” If you “had a son, he’d look like” Trayvon Martin. Mike Brown was the victim. You’ve been underestimating us from the jump. We smacked you in the nose last year when you dared us to vote based on your record. But now, we’re all “crazies” because we have a wiser attitude about homicidal islamofascists than you do. Keep it up, buddy. We’ll see you at the inauguration in January 2017. We’ll be in the “winners” section, with the rest of the “crazies.”
