The last chance to join WND’s Israel tour this fall has arrived.
Space is limited, so interested individuals are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible by visiting the tour website or calling WND’s travel partner Coral Tours at 866-267-2511.
Participants will join WND founder Joseph Farah, New York Times bestselling author Joel Richardson, filmmaker and Israel advocate Laurie Cardoza-Moore, and Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer Richie Furay for an unforgettable 10-day journey through the Holy Land.
“I think this tour will be the best opportunity for Americans to get to know Israel in an intimate way this year,” said Farah, an Arab American and former Middle East correspondent who has led tours of several hundred people each in 2013 and 2014.
Farah says a trip to Israel this year is very timely because of the spiritual and cultural darkness surrounding America at this moment in history.
“If you want to understand what’s happening to America today, with the retreat from morality and the breaking down of our culture, you should understand there’s a precedent for all of what we are experiencing,” Farah said.
“The precedent is ancient Israel. And the good news is that God doesn’t forsake His people. Israel is living proof of that. It’s the only nation in the history of the world to be resurrected from the dead just as it was prophesied in the Bible. Now I don’t want America to go through the kind of judgment Israel experienced. But that’s what is ahead of us without a change of spiritual course.”
Israel, Farah says, is perhaps the best proof in the world today that God is still on the throne – still at work, still forgiving people, still fulfilling His promises.
“Yet the world takes Israel’s existence today for granted,” he lamented. “Even Christians and Jews take Israel’s existence for granted. Let me tell you something: If you want to shake up your spiritual life and find a closer relationship with your Creator, come to Israel with me this fall. You will never be the same person again. To coin a phrase, it will ‘fundamentally transform’ you – in a good way.”
This year’s tour will commence on Nov. 3 and end Nov. 13. Here is a small sampling of what participants will experience:
- Drive to the top of Mt. Carmel, where Elijah challenged and defeated the prophets of Baal.
- View the beautiful Sea of Galilee
- Visit the site where Jesus gave the Sermon on the Mount
- Visit Tabgha, where the miracle of the loaves and fishes took place
- Journey down the Damascus Road, where Paul encountered the Lord
- Ride a camel, share a Bedouin dinner and spend an evening under the stars in a Bedouin tent in the biblical wilderness
- Drive by the caves of the Dead Sea Scrolls at Qumran
- Enter the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus spent the last night before he was arrested
- Visit the Western Wall in Jerusalem
- And much, much more
A complete itinerary is available on the tour Web page.
Farah says this year’s group will likely be smaller and more intimate than the 2013 and 2014 trips, but he thinks that will make it even more special for participants.
“Everyone on this tour will know everyone else by the end of 10 days,” says Farah. “That will make it a once-in-a-lifetime experience for all, with new friends and long-lasting relationships started.”
Farah brings his unique experience as an Arab American and former Middle East correspondent to the tour. Joel Richardson brings his biblical scholarship to the tour, having written the best-selling books “The Islamic Antichrist,” “Mideast Beast” and his latest, “When a Jew Rules the World.”
Richie Furay brings his pastoral love and the world-renowned musical excellence he demonstrated in the pioneer rock group Buffalo Springfield and his own super-group Poco. And Laurie Cardoza-Moore brings her passion for the land and the people and her excellent communication skills.
“What a team,” said Farah. “I can’t wait. Do you feel that tug on your heart to join us? That’s God speaking to you. Don’t resist. Don’t put it off. Consider this message from me as confirmation of all you are feeling and have been feeling and will continue to feel until you listen to that still small voice and just do it! It’s time for you to go to Israel and experience the miracle of that land as I have countless times over the last 35 years.”
For those concerned about the cost of the trip, Farah assures it will be worth every penny.
“Discovering Israel 35 years ago changed my life, and it will change yours,” he declares. “It will deepen your walk with the Father, your heavenly Creator and your Lord and Savior, whose Hebrew name is Yeshua. You will get to know God in a whole new way. What is that worth to you?”
