New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is set to announce his presidential run on Tuesday during a broadcast announcement around 11 a.m.
“Once he gets that momentum,” said Dale Florio, a Republican lobbyist based in New Jersey, Politico reported, “you’ll see the whole dynamic of the race change.”

Christie and his advisers spent the past weekend preparing to run as a top-tier candidate, focusing on New Hampshire as a means of establishing himself in a field that already includes 13 other Republicans.
He’s due to head to the state right after his announcement, and has already spent more time in the state than any other GOP candidate, save former New York Gov. George Pataki.
“He’s been very popular in New Hampshire and he’s going to spend a lot of time there,” said Ray Washburne, Christie’s finance chairman, in Politico.
