Republican presidential Carly Fiorina spoke in blunt terms on national television about Democratic White House contender Hillary Clinton’s email scandal, saying the former secretary of state definitely broke rules and definitely took steps to hide her past correspondences from the American people.
“It’s clear she broke the rules,” Fiorina said, during a “Fox News Sunday” interview. “It’s absolutely clear she broke the rules. It’s crystal clear that she has been engaged in covering up of lots of things, Benghazi, the fact that she broke the rules.”
Fiorina went on to say the timing of Clinton’s erased email server with her announced run to seek the presidency was no accident.
“I mean, how amazing that she’s had this server in her baseement all this time and decides to wipe it clean two years after she leaves the State Department and just before she gets ready to run for president,” Fiorina said. “Of course she’s engaged in a cover-up and of course she’s broken the rules.”
Fiorina also weighed in on the Planned Parenthood scandal of selling baby body parts, and said the controversy has “nothing to do with whether you are pro-choice or pro-life,” but rather with the “moral foundation of our nation.”
Fiorina also criticized the group’s reluctance to let pregnant woman view an ultrasound of their baby before making a decision to abort.
She said: “If a woman was sitting outside Planned Parentohood, in for example her OB/GYN’s office, looking at this ultrasound at precisely the same point in her pregnancy, her doctor would be saying to her, ‘look at your baby, look at its heartbeat, look at its fingers and toes.’ This is an abomination that Planned Parenthood has lobbied against a woman’s opportunity to look at an ultrasound before she makes an incredibly difficult choice, to end the unborn life within her.”
