‘Black Lives Matter’ gets top-notch billing

The tally is in and “Black Lives Matter” protesters destroyed 350 businesses in Baltimore.

“Black Lives Matter,” the activist movement that’s swept violent protesters into city streets from St. Louis to Baltimore, has received top billing from one of America’s most influential news outlets, the New York Times Magazine, which calls it the “most formidable” movement to hit the nation in years.

The leaders of the movement, DeRay McKesson and another individual who goes by the name Nettaaaaaaa or ShordeeDooWhop, have been at it since the August 2014 shooting death of Ferguson, Missouri, 18-year-old Michael Brown, making appearances in New York, Milwaukee and Baltimore, the Gateway Pundit reported.

And the New York Times Magazine dubbed their efforts, along with “a core group of other activists,” as key to building “the most formidable American protest movement of the 21st century to date.”

The magazine went on: “Their innovation has been to marry the strengths of social media – the swift, morally blunt consensus that can be created by hashtags; the personal connection that a charismatic online persona can make with followers; the broad networks that allow for the easy distribution of documentary photos and videos – with an effort to quickly mobilize protests in each new city where a police shooting occurs.”

The Gateway Pundit also included some statistics about the fallout of protests in Baltimore.

In May, under the umbrella of “Black Lives Matter,” activists burned 61 buildings and 144 vehicles, destroyed or damaged 350 businesses and injured 113 police officers.
