(WASHINGTONEXAMINER) — The Republican National Committee has filed four more lawsuits under the Freedom of Information Act seeking information related to Hillary Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state, the party announced on Tuesday.
“Despite the State Department’s responsibility under the law to comply with FOIA requests in a timely way, our requests have gone unanswered for months,” said RNC chair Reince Priebus, who added that the department was “running interference” for the former secretary.
“These lawsuits are intended to expedite the release of records covered under FOIA that will allow Americans to hold Hillary Clinton accountable,” Priebus added.
