Police arrested early Wednesday the prime suspect for the Brussels terror attack, 25-year-old Najim Laachraoui, after an intense manhunt led them to a location in the Anderlecht district of the city, where he was hiding.

Belgian newspaper DH reported Laachraoui was taken into custody just hours after reports surfaced that the two men who blew themselves up at Brussels airport were brothers.

The Telegraph reported he was “arrested in Anderlecht by special forces unit.”

The suicide bombers, Khalid and Brahim El Bakraoui, were known by police for past crimes, the Jerusalem Post reported.

Laachraoui’s DNA had been discovered at residences used by the Paris terror attackers last year, prosecutors told the press. His image had been captured by video tape, along with the suicide bombing brothers, but police could not immediately locate him.
