John Boehner is leaving his speaker role.
John Boehner, who just dropped a bombshell on political America by announcing his resignation from Congress and his speaker role, used his newfound freedom to go on CBS News and slide in a attack against presidential hopeful Sen. Ted Cruz, calling him out as a “jackass” once again.
Only he did it in a sneaky fashion.

“Face the Nation” host John Dickerson asked if Boehner considered Cruz a “false prophet,” or one of those on Capitol Hill who create chaos via fool’s errands. And in response, Boehner went coy.
“Listen,” he said, “you can pick a lot of names out. I’ll let you choose them. … I’ll refer you to my remark at a fundraiser I made in August in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.”
That’s when the Daily Caller reported an attendee at the event heard Boehner refer to Cruz by name as a “jackass.” As WND reported, several in attendance expresed shock at the speaker’s choice of language.
On Sunday, after discussion about Boehner’s self-described “rebel” leadership in the House, Dickerson reminded him the word he reportedly used at the Steamboat Springs event was “jackass.”
He said: “Let me ask you about the – by the way, you called Ted – I believe the word you used was jackass, referring to Senator Cruz.”

And Boehner confirmed: “I’m referring to that same remark.”
