(Daily Caller) Outside a New Hampshire diner Thursday, Jeb Bush defended President Obama’s visit to a mosque saying it was “more than appropriate.”
Obama visited the Islamic Society of Baltimore (ISB) Wednesday, his first visit to a mosque during his presidency. During his remarks he said, “like so many in this country, is an All-American story.” One of the former imams at the mosque was a leading member of the Muslim Brotherhood and worked for an Islamic relief group that was designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S government in 2004. Bush told reporters, “I don’t think its divisive to go speak in a mosque, I’m surprised it took his eighth year to do it,” CNN reports. He added, “I don’t criticize the president [going] to a mosque and to assure that people they shouldn’t be discriminated against. I think that is more than appropriate as the leader of our country.”
