Fox News giant Bill O’Reilly said on his “O’Reilly Factor” the Democratic Party’s presumptive presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, deserves to be considered innocent until proven guilty and America ought to hold back judgment on her cash-for-favor scandal.
“Right now, the evidence is circumstantial, not vetted, and the subject of wild speculation by anti-Clinton forces,” O’Reilly said.
He said the allegations could very well “eliminate Mrs. Clinton from the presidential race, if true.” And in the sense of fair play and justice, she deserves to be considered innocent for now, he said.
“The appearance of impropriety is staggering and the defense is paltry to say the least,” he said. “[But] I want to make it very clear that the Clintons are to be given the presumption of innocence.”
O’Reilly then likened the heat Clinton is facing to what he’s experienced in the past.
“As one who has been dishonestly smeared, I loathe political hit jobs,” he said. “But there are major questions here and they must, must be answered.”
The book, “Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich” by Peter Schweizer, has created a huge buzz among national media. It’s due for release May 5.
