The Clinton Foundation’s CEO Maura Polly released a statement saying the organization has indeed “made mistakes,” a reference to the widely reported allegations in a soon=to-be released book about ties between cash donations and political favors for overseas source.

The admission came the same day the New York Post reported the nonprofit was placed on Charity Navigator’s watch list, along with Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network, the Daily Caller reported.

The Clinton Foundation was actually added to the list last month, the news outlet said.

Pally’s statement to the media, posted on the foundation’s blog: “So yes, we made mistakes, as many organizations of our size do, but we are acting quickly to remedy them and have taken steps to ensure they don’t happen in the future.”

She also touted the organization’s accomplishments and its commitment to transparency.

“Without question, the foundation’s accompllishments stand on their own,” the statement read. “From fighting obesity … to sorking to combat one of our greatest global threats, climate change … the Clinton Foundation has not been afraid to take on big challenges and see real results.”

Pally also wrote of the foundation’s decision to disclose donors on a quarterly, rather than annual, basis.

The group’s listing on the Charity Navigator’s watch list is due to revelations from “Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich,” which allege the foundation received millions of dollars from foreign governments and these governments then benefited from Hillary Clinton’s secretary of state influence.

The Charity Navigator listing also indicates the foundation spends only a small portion of its receipts on charitable activities, the Daily Caller said.

The revelations about the foundation are coming to light right as Clinton is making a run for the White House in 2016.
