The 2016 presidential election campaign is certain to be regarded as the craziest in living memory, and it hasn’t stopped just because Americans have finally had the chance to vent their frustrations in the voting booth.
But that same craziness has also caused a lot of Americans to approach this day with sobriety and even piousness, taking their responsibility as citizens with seriousness.
So, from around the country and the world, here some of the wilder – and just plain interesting – things we’re seeing on Election Day.

Donald Trump’s “Victory” cake
Doesn’t that just take the cake?
Twitter is abuzz over the “victory” cake that was wheeled into Trump Tower this morning for the GOP nominee’s expected post-election celebration. The general consensus was that the baked bust was a total bust.
Among the comments:
- U just know trump spent more time posing for this cake than he did preparing for any of the debates.”
- This was for a celebration?
- They’ve made him a cake of Angela Lansbury?
- Why does he look like Christopher Walken?
- That baker is SO not getting paid.

Girls Gone Wild at Trump precinct
Hours before Donald Trump showed up to cast his vote this morning, feminist protesters from the activist group FEMEN stormed his polling station in one of their trademark bare-breast protests. Considering the allegations of sexual harassment made by feminists against the GOP nominee, this certainly sent a mixed message. While the identities of the protesters are currently unknown, we can’t get over how much the one in the picture, above, reminds us of Hillary Clinton confidante Huma Abedin. Surely, it’s just a coincidence.

Ed Palkot
103-year-old centenarian still voting strong
Regardless of what he thinks about his choices on the ballot, Ed Palkot, 103, of Garden City, New York, wasn’t about to miss going to the polls. Today’s vote was his 21st in a presidential election in an unbroken streak going back to 1936. The lifelong mostly-Republican admits to maybe voting for FDR once – hey, there was a world war on.

Franklin Graham
Vote on your knees
Franklin Graham is calling on Americans to pray throughout the day as voting is underway. “The Bible tells us, ‘Pray without ceasing’ (1 Thessalonians 5:17),” he reminds. And he also encourages with this biblical gem from 2 Samuel 24:25 – “The LORD was moved by prayer for the land.”
Let it be so – Amen!

The tossed memorabilia, dumped by Trump’s first wife, shows the GOP candidate in a whole new light. The Donald changing diapers is not the same persona we saw in this campaign …

Must be the season of the witch
Vitaly Valentinovich Milonov is certainly no U.S.-household name, but the Russian legislator has been watching the U.S. election and he’s weighing in on the two candidates:
“And I am saying officially – Clinton is a cursed witch! That’s why even a funny guy like Donald Trump looks more normal. He’s funny, to be sure, and he has weird hair, and his wife poses naked for photographs – I don’t know why … But he says the right things.”

President George Bush and Laura Bush
Maybe they couldn’t make up their minds?
Former President George W. Bush and his wife did NOT vote for Hillary Clinton, despite the mistaken claim made by Rush Limbaugh on his radio program Tuesday. The Bushes, who voted two weeks ago just left that part of their ballot blank.
If the final vote in Texas is within a two-vote margin, you now know whom to blame …
