Republican presidential primary front-runner Donald Trump will follow his first major foreign policy speech with an interview Friday on Michael Savage’s top-rated, nationally syndicated radio show.
Savage said that in Trump’s “desire to reach a wider audience of thinking voters,” he will be a guest on “The Savage Nation” and “further define his foreign policy.”
The show airs live from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Time.
Trump has been misinterpreted as an isolationist by globalists, said Savage, who described the candidate’s philosophy as “America First.”
“Mr. Trump’s foreign policy is based more on making America’s interests dominant, not subservient,” the talk host said.

“Instead of provoking Russia, as Obama has done, Trump wants peace, prosperity and trade with Russia,” Savage continued. “Instead of carrying the entire defense costs of NATO, Trump wants NATO-member nations to pay their fair share of defense costs.”
Trump, a regular guest on Savage’s show, delivered his first major foreign policy address Wednesday at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C.
After the speech, Savage responded on his radio show to Trump critics, defending the speech as an articulation of sound policy based on what is good for the nation.
“If you didn’t listen to the speech, it’s very simple. It’s called ‘America First,’” Savage told his listeners.
Savage contrasted Trump’s philosophy with President Obama’s, which he dubbed “America Last.”
“The fact of the matter is Obama has abandoned our friends and bowed to our enemies,” Savage said, using a phrase from his book “Government Zero: No Borders, No Language, No Culture.”
Trump said in his speech that Obama “gutted our missile defense program then abandoned our missile-defense plans with Poland and the Czech Republic.”
“He supported the ouster of a friendly regime in Egypt that had a longstanding peace treaty with Israel – and then helped bring the Muslim Brotherhood to power in its place,” Trump continued.
“Israel, our great friend, and the one true democracy in the Middle East, has been snubbed and criticized by an administration that lacks moral clarity,” he said.
