Liberal mutiny: ‘Hillary Clinton just can’t win’

America’s liberal media are in open revolt against Hillary Clinton as the Democratic Party’s Nevada caucuses and Feb. 27 primary in South Carolina near.

The Nation waited less than 24 hours after Clinton’s defeat to Sen. Bernie Sanders in New Hampshire to say that she and former President Bill Clinton have “decimated” the black community. Salon now joins the fray, saying she is less electable than Vermont’s self-described socialist.

Salon’s clarion call on behalf of Sanders, “Hillary Clinton just can’t win,” became the Drudge Report’s banner headline on Friday in conjunction with a new poll showing the Vermont senator favored by Democrats nationally for the first time.

“Bernie Sanders is the only Democratic candidate capable of winning the White House in 2016,” the magazine’s H.A. Goodman wrote Friday. “Please name the last person to win the presidency alongside an ongoing FBI investigation, negative favorability ratings, questions about character linked to continual flip-flops, a dubious money trail of donors, and the genuine contempt of the rival political party. In reality, Clinton is a liability to Democrats, and certainly not the person capable of ensuring liberal Supreme Court nominees and President Obama’s legacy.”

Survey results released by Fox News on Friday show Sanders now capable of securing 47 percent Democrat support at a national level compared to Clinton’s 44 percent.

“One thing that is clear from our poll – and others – is that Clinton has been losing support and Sanders has been gaining,” Democratic pollster Chris Anderson told the network. “And this process appears to have accelerated since the contests in Iowa and New Hampshire.”

Salon’s piece comes less than two weeks after the Nation published, “Why Hillary Clinton doesn’t deserve the black vote: From the crime bill to welfare reform, policies Bill Clinton enacted – and Hillary Clinton supported – decimated black America.”

Author Michelle Alexander lashed out at the Clintons on the economy, drug laws, prison sentences, welfare reform and rhetoric likening black criminals to animals, WND reported Feb. 10.

“What have the Clintons done to earn such devotion?” Alexander asked. “Did they take extreme political risks to defend the rights of African-Americans? Did they courageously stand up to right-wing demagoguery about black communities? Did they help usher in a new era of hope and prosperity for neighborhoods devastated by deindustrialization, globalization, and the disappearance of work? No. Quite the opposite.”

The mass migration from Clinton among left-wing media outlets appears to be working with Democrat voters. A new Associated Press-GfK poll released Friday shows 72 percent believe Sanders could win the general election, a 21 percentage point increase in one month.

“I was going to bite my tongue and vote for Hillary, but I never really trusted her,” Robert Stone, a 59-year-old from Hilton Head, South Carolina, told the Associated Press on Friday. He said he has already cast an absentee ballot for Sanders because “every time [Hillary] opens her mouth, I can’t help but think she’s lying about something.”

Democrat voters’ mistrusts of Clinton has grown as the scandal surrounding the personal email server she used as secretary of state continues to unfold.

Roughly 100 FBI special agents are assigned to an investigation that will determine if the former secretary of state violated a subsection of the Espionage Act related to “gross negligence” in handling government documents. Agents also want to know if co-mingling of the Clinton Foundation and State Department business violated public corruption laws.

The Washington Post also revealed last week that State Department investigators subpoenaed the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation last fall. Records related to long-time Clinton aide Huma Abedin were also requested, given that she was simultaneously employed by the Clinton’s personal office, a private consulting firm linked to the Clintons, and the State Department.

Both Clintons have denied accusations of wrongdoing. Former President Bill Clinton officially ran the organization while Hillary served as secretary of state.
