NEW YORK – Danney Williams, 30, has been trying since at least 1999 to be acknowledged as the out-of-wedlock son of former President Bill Clinton and a black prostitute in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Now, just one month before the presidential election, he has posted a nine-minute video on his Facebook and Twitter pages in a new initiative to establish the legitimacy of his claim.

“I have no doubt that I am Bill Clinton’s son,” Williams declares at the beginning of the new video. “It was common knowledge in Arkansas where I grew up. Everywhere I went, people would point and say, ‘There’s Bill Clinton’s son. He looks like Bill Clinton, doesn’t he? Look at him, Danney Williams is a black Bill Clinton.’”

Documentary filmmaker Joel Gilbert, who produced Williams’ new video, also compiled a series of comparison photographs showing the physical resemblance.

He told WND he has no doubt Williams is the son of Bill Clinton, especially after working with him for three days in Los Angeles to make the video.

“I always felt bad about Bill Clinton not wanting to be in my life,” Williams says in the video. “Was it because I was black? Was there something wrong with me? It made me think sometimes even of suicide. It’s not fair and it has been hurtful.”

Williams says that after his mother was sent to prison for drugs, his Aunt Lucille Bolton raised him.

“My sister is Bobbie Ann Williams, Danney Williams’ mother,” Bolton says in the video, via Skype. “My sister was a prostitute and she hung around the streets on 17th and Main (in Little Rock). She met Bill Clinton on the streets on some 13 occasions. About five or six months she had dated Bill Clinton and everything; she said she was pregnant by Bill.”

Williams says he has no doubt he is Bill Clinton’s son.

“I tell my children, yes, it is real. Bill Clinton is my father and I’m going to make sure you meet him one day,” he says in the video.

He concludes with a plea: “Hillary, please do not deny I exist. I am your stepson. Chelsea is my sister. And Bill is my father.”

No definitive DNA testing

Testing done by the tabloid Star Magazine was based on Clinton DNA information released by independent counsel Kenneth Starr from Monica Lewinsky’s infamous blue dress. The testing was not definitive, because the data Starr released resulted from a “polymerase chain reaction” test, known as “PRC” is not sufficiently accurate to be admitted in court as evidence regarding paternity claims.

Phil Bunton, the editor-in-chief at Star Magazine in 1999 when the Williams story developed, was reached by WND early Tuesday morning.
“I don’t remember ever seeing any laboratory test that was done on Clinton’s DNA,” said Bunton, who now is the owner of the Rivertown Magazine in Haverstraw, New York.

Bunton affirmed to WND that Star Magazine relied on the DNA evidence for Clinton published by Kenneth Starr. He also affirmed the tabloid never obtained a blood sample from Clinton and that the it never reported any story documenting that a lab test had been done.

“We never published anything,” Bunton said.

“We got a lot of phone calls from several people in the media, including the New York Times, wanting to know when we were going to get the DNA back,” Bunton continued. “We thought it was going to turn out to be his son, but when the DNA came back there was no story there even to write.”

Without a sample of Clinton’s blood or other bodily fluids, Star Magazine could not conduct the more reliable test, a “refraction fragmented length polymorphism” test, or RFLP, that would have allowed a qualified laboratory to run a spectrograph of Clinton’s DNA to be placed side-by-side with the results of a RFLP test conducted on Williams’ bodily fluids.

As reported by the Los Angeles Times on Jan. 12, 1999, instead of publishing an article detailing any laboratory results Star Magazine may have obtained, Burton simply told news reporters who called him, “There was no match, nothing even close.”

On Oct. 3, the Internet “fact-checking site Snopes.com, which generally is favorable to Democrats, examined the Williams claim and concluded it is “unproven.”

Blocked by Hillary

In the video, Williams claims Hillary Clinton intervened once she realized that Bill Clinton was sending Williams seven $100 dollar bills monthly in the mail and having Arkansas State Troopers deliver gifts to his home at Christmas.

“I always wanted to have a father in my life,” Williams says in the video.

He says that when his Aunt Lucille took Williams to the governor’s mansion in Little Rock, Hillary Clinton slammed the door in their face.

“Aunt Lucille was working at a gas station, and we had no money,” he says. “When Bill Clinton became president, everything stopped. Then in 1995, I was put in a foster home. It made me feel horrible because I knew his child, Chelsea, was well taken care of, and we were house-to-house hungry at night. And to know that my father was the president of the United States, it hurt. Try to imagine that your own father refused to love you, to say you exist.”

Williams addresses the “phony DNA test” the tabloid conducted in 1999.

“There never was a DNA test,” he says. “Just think about it. The phony DNA test was reported by a tabloid owned by a donor to Bill Clinton (former Deputy Treasury Secretary Roger. C. Altman). To this day, the media continue to quote this bogus DNA test and it really hurts.”

On Hillary Clinton allegedly shutting him out of the Clinton family, he commented: “It makes me wonder. If Hillary says ‘Black Lives Matter,’ why I don’t matter to her.”

No doubt Bill Clinton is Danney’s father’

Filmmaker Gilbert, in an interview, told WND he had absolutely no doubt Bill Clinton is Williams’ father.

“Danny is a great kid, he goes to church, and takes his kids to Sunday School. He’s been through a tremendous amount of difficulty and pain in his life, but has persevered, he’s a real inspiration,” Gilbert told WND. “Hillary and Bill should accept him into their family and start to try to heal all the pain they caused Danney and his mom.”

Gilbert said, regarding his videoing of Williams, that he couldn’t remember ever conducting a more emotionally painful interview.

“I think what Danney inherited from his father is an intangible likability factor,” Gilbert said. “Danny exudes calm and friendliness, but I’ll give him also that he comes off much more sincere and authentic than the former president, who I’m confident is his biological father.”

Gilbert, a Los Angeles-based filmmaker, is the owner of Highway 61 Entertainment. Along with “Dreams from My Real Father” and “There’s No Place Like Utopia,” he has produced “Atomic Jihad,” “Farewell Israel” and pop-culture films on music legends such as Bob Dylan.
