See which U.S. political party gets rid of more nukes!

A Donald Trump administration, if it works anything like historic Republican administrations, actually will be ridding the United States of nuclear weapons, explains a new report in Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin.

The issue arose because of the GOP president-elect’s comments about missiles and weaponry during the campaign that just concluded.

It was his failed Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, who pushed the issue into the headlines. Trump, she claimed, never could be trusted with the “nuclear codes” because he would take offense at a tweet.

Her claim?

“It’s not hard to imagine Donald Trump leading us into a war just because somebody got under his very thin skin.”

Trump, himself, has speculated about using nuclear weaponry should ISIS terrorists attack the United States.

He also explained that he wanted to force the nation’s enemies into a level of uncertainty about what might happen. And he’s rejected suggestions he would authorize such an attack.

In actuality, Trump will have the authority to order an attack once he’s president. He will be accompanied everywhere he goes by a military aide with the “nuclear football,” a briefcase containing the codes and equipment for the president to carry out a decision.

But a new report from the Federation of American Scientist is headlined, “Will Trump be another Republican nuclear weapons disarmer?”

Hans Kristensen wrote: “Republicans love nuclear weapons reductions, as long as they’re not proposed by a Democratic president. That is the lesson from decades of U.S. nuclear weapons and arms control management.”

He explained if precedent is followed, “we can expect the new Donald Trump administration to reduce the U.S. nuclear weapons arsenal more than the Obama administration did.”

“It sounds strange but the record is very clear: During the post-Cold War era, [Republican] administrations have – by far – reduced the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile more than Democratic administrations.”

He pointed to a graph that said Kennedy and Johnson both increased the nation’s stockpile. Carter, Clinton and Obama reduced it marginally.

But Ford and Reagan also reduced the stockpile marginally, and the two Bush presidents reduced it greatly.

“Republican presidents disarm more than Democrats,” the report said.
