Hobby Lobby CEO does 180, endorses Trump

(Independent Journal Review) One of the endorsements that Trump failed to get during the GOP primary was that of David Green, the CEO of Hobby Lobby.

In fact, a few days before Trump swept Super Tuesday in March, Green said of the potential Republican nominee, via Politico:

“Our family business that we began with $600, has quite possibly been more successful than Mr. Trump’s, but that doesn’t make either of us qualified to be president.

Green added that Trump “scares me to death.”

Then, he endorsed Florida Senator Marco Rubio’s presidential run.

Hacker who exposed Clinton’s private email gets 52 months

(The Hill) Marcel Lehel Lazar, the hacker better known as “Guccifer,” was sentenced in a Virginia federal court Thursday to 52 months in prison. He pleaded guilty in May to charges related to hacking a variety of political figures and celebrities.

Lazar targeted email accounts and websites belonging to Hillary Clinton confidant Sidney Blumenthal; former secretary of State Colin Powel; and former President George W. Bush’s sister, Dorothy Bush Koch.

Serial numbers proposed for bullets sold in Illinois

(WFLD) The gun violence in Chicago is at a level not seen in twenty years, and that’s led to a proposal that bullets sold in Illinois come with serial numbers which could be traced, just like guns.

It’s a common scene in Chicago: police recovering shell casings at the scene of a shooting. Well, on Tuesday, a group of legislators and gun control activists proposed that every bullet sold in Illinois be coded with a serial number, so the ammunition could be traced back to the store where it was purchased.

“We just want to know how the guns and the bullets are getting into the hands of our youth and causing senseless harm and murder on our streets,” said Rep. Sonya Harper.

YouTube enacts new policy to discourage ‘controversial or sensitive subjects’

Some of the most popular videos on YouTube feature “social justice warriors” making themselves look like ignorant, entitled fools. You know, like that girl who hates Hawaiian bobble heads. But the Google-owned video hosting company no longer wants us making fun of America’s sensitive little snowflakes.

New rules have many prominent YouTubers ticked off because their videos are being demonetized for featuring content the company considers insensitive.

“Controversial or sensitive subjects and events, including subjects related to war, political conflicts, natural disasters and tragedies, even if graphic imagery is not shown.”

“Inappropriate language, including harassment, profanity and vulgar language,” is also being demonetized.

In other words, the new “advertiser-friendly” policy forces anyone looking to use YouTube as a means to make revenue to adhere strictly to leftist standards of political correctness.

Here’s how Philip DeFranco, one popular YouTuber explains the change (strong language):

“By taking away the ability to monetize a video where you’re saying things that they don’t deem ‘okay,’ that’s been described as censorship with a different name,” DeFranco said in his video, which as of this writing has 1.5 million views. “Because if you do this on the regular and you have no advertising, it’s not sustainable.”

As Infowars reported, internet free speech pioneers have known this was coming for a long time:

As Matt Drudge warned about when he appeared on the Alex Jones Show nearly a year ago, creators allowing their content to be swallowed up by social media ghettos was always going to lead to this outcome.

“I don’t know why they’ve been successful in pushing everybody into these little ghettos, these Facebooks, these Tweets, these Instagrams,” Drudge told Jones. “This is ghetto, this is corporate; they’re taking your energy and you’re getting nothing in return.”

As for YouTube, it’s worth wondering whether this is the first step in removing from the website any and every video that doesn’t fit into the modern American liberal’s version of societal utopia.

Oh yeah, and in case you haven’t seen the anti-bobble head SJW video:

Yikes.

Shameless: HLN blurs Trump t-shirt worn by hero who rescued baby

What could have been another tragic baby dies in hot car story was prevented when a quick-thinking retired police officer rescued the child. But when HLN interviewed the hero following the rescue, the news network took issue with his pro-Trump t-shirt.

Steve Eckel, a 53-year-old retired sheriff’s deputy, was running errands at a New Jersey shopping center when he heard another shopper, 30-year-old Sara Mazzone, scream as she noticed a 4-month-old baby roasting in a locked car.

“Right as I passed her she screamed and said, ‘Oh my God,’” Eckel told New York Daily News.

Mazzone and Eckel quickly realized that the little girl was “clearly in distress” as she sat in the backseat of a sweltering car.

The two acted fast, calling 911 and attempting to locate the child’s guardian in a nearby department store.

But believing that the youngster would perish if left in the hot vehicle much longer, Eckel grabbed a small sledgehammer he remembered was in his truck and rescued the child.

“There’s no doubt in my mind the baby would be dead if we didn’t do what we did,” Eckel said.

The child’s mother showed up later, after being gone for as long as an hour, and was arrested for child endangerment.

Sounds like a feel-good story, doesn’t it? And it is.

But it’s also taken an unexpected turn in further proving shameless media bias in favor of Hillary Clinton, particularly at the CNN-owned HLN network.

Initially the network aired the interview with Eckel sans censorship:

But someone in the Clinton camp must’ve taken issue, because a later re-broadcast of the segment looked like this:

Now, think about what’s going on here.

Eckel did something good. And it earned him his 15-minutes. There’s little doubt that, knowing he’d be making media rounds, the retired officer selected his shirt as an exercise in free speech.

Apparently, we can’t have heroes wearing “Trump for President” garb— at least not on Clinton’s News Network.

This is just the latest in HLN/CNN blatantly censoring content and silencing voices to aid the Clinton campaign.

Television personality Dr. Drew Pinsky said he was “gravely concerned” about Clinton’s health in a recent interview.

His show on HLN later got canned, with the network blaming “rebranding” to focus on more news content.

Ha!

CNN, meanwhile, produced a recent segment revolving around a tweet from Trump demanding that Clinton release her medical records. But not before they edited it without notice to viewers.

See for yourself. Below is CNN’s version of Trump’s online remark, followed by reality’s version:

cencnn

Notice the difference?

As the news organization gets called out for its obvious bias in favor of Clinton, its leadership just cites “mistakes.”

“We blurred the logo and shouldn’t have; it was done in error,” an HLN rep said of Eckel’s Trump shirt.

“The tweet should have been shown in its entirety,” a CNN spokesman said of Trump’s tweet.

It’s not a surprise. After all, CNN is owned by Time Warner. Time Warner happens to have been one of Clinton’s best political donors over her lengthy government career.

Blow up your TV.

California set to criminalize video ‘stings’ of Planned Parenthood

hillary_planned_parenthood

A stunning series of undercover videos appeared over the course of 2015 that revealed high-ranking officials in Planned Parenthood’s abortion business negotiating over the price they would be paid for the body parts of unborn babies.

One executive famously declared, during the course of those negotiations, “I want a Lamborghini,” a $200,000-plus exoticar.

The revelations of what Planned Parenthood was doing certainly were damaging: Congress started investigations, states withdrew funding and there were renewed calls to look into its practices even though the business fell, more or less, under the protection of a supportive U.S. president.

The problems for Americans were the disturbing images and statements from Planned Parenthood, but the organization itself considered the release of the video information, which it condemned as heavily edited, to be the problem.

So its solution?

Make it a crime to make those videos.

Planned Parenthood moved one step closer to that goal this week when the California Senate, late Wednesday, endorsed a proposal to do just that.

Read the tested and proven strategies to defeat the abortion cartel, in “Abortion Free: Your Manual for Building a Pro-Life America One Community at a Time.”

The Sacramento Bee, under the headline, “Planned Parenthood bill on secret videos advances after compromise,” explained that the plan “increases punishments for secret recordings like those that enveloped Planned Parenthood in controversy last summer.”

There had been objections from media organizations, who were appeased when language was changed to not apply a penalty when someone broadcasts such videos if they did not make them.

Sen. Hannah-Beth Jackson, a Democrat, claimed the bill was in response to “the growing threat to health care providers.”

“While it is already illegal in California to record a private conversation without the consent of all parties involved, Assembly Bill 1671 would create an additional crime if someone who makes such a recording of a health care provider distribute[s] that recording as well,” the Bee reported.

The investigators who released last year’s videos, from the Center for Medical Progress, were directly targeted by the legislation because of the revelations about the sales of aborted baby body parts its vidoes included.

The 26-13 vote was directly along party lines, with Democrats adopting the plan.

“When ’60 Minutes’ uses a hidden camera and discovers a unique story, it’s called outstanding journalism,” Sen. John Moorlach, R-Costa Mesa, told the Bee. “But when a private citizen does it and unmasks a very, very unpleasant truth, it’s a call for legislation.”

The bill still has a concurrence vote before being moved to the governor, who has not said whether he’ll support the plan.

Officials for LiveAction, an organization that also has done undercover videos of abortion industry leaders to reveal misbehavior such as covering up for sex traffickers and failing to report child sexual assault, warned if the plan is adopted in California, Planned Parenthood soon will seek the legal power to suppress information about its activities all across the nation.

Live Action chief Lila Rose said, “For years, investigative journalists have recorded and exposed Planned Parenthood facilities across the country covering up for sex traffickers, failing to report child sexual abusers, and trafficking in baby body parts. Instead of being compelled to be more transparent with the public, taxpayer-funded Planned Parenthood wants to jail journalists and whistleblowers who record and distribute footage that shows it potentially breaking the law.

“The California Newspaper Publishers Association – not an organization that’s necessarily sympathetic to the pro-life cause – said even the newly amended version of the bill still ‘potentially criminalizes speech.’ Planned Parenthood is brazenly attacking the First Amendment, aided and abetted by California legislators who are protecting a major campaign donor.

“When the public funds half of Planned Parenthood’s operations, it has a right to know that its money isn’t being used to break the law or commit abuses, and governments should be taking steps to make things more transparent, not less. Americans understand that abortion is a grave act, and with Planned Parenthood committing over 320,000 abortions each year, investigative journalists and whistleblowers have been the ones exposing the many abuses that often accompany it.”

She continued, “This bill doesn’t protect women; instead, it puts Planned Parenthood above the law and lets it hide potentially illegal and abusive activity from public view. If this bill becomes law in California, Planned Parenthood could attempt to pass similar bans all over the country.”

WND reports on the undercover videos date back to the beginning.

Read the tested and proven strategies to defeat the abortion cartel, in “Abortion Free: Your Manual for Building a Pro-Life America One Community at a Time.”

In the first undercover video released by CMP, Deborah Nucatola of Planned Parenthood commented on crushing babies.

“We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact,” she said.

Mexican prez: Trump policies ‘huge threat’

(CBS NEWS) President Enrique Pena Nieto levied heavy criticisms at Donald Trump following the Republican nominee’s visit to Mexico Wednesday, calling some of his policies a “risk” that “must be confronted.”

“His policy stances could represent a huge threat to Mexico, and I am not prepared to keep my arms crossed and do nothing,” Pena Nieto said in a television interview late Wednesday evening, according to a Reuters report. “That risk, that threat, must be confronted. I told him that is not the way to build a mutually beneficial relationship for both nations.”

Pena Nieto’s comments come after the two politicians gave differing accounts on whether the payment of a border wall — one of Trump’s key immigration tenets — was discussed in the course of their hour-long meeting in Mexico.
