Dems fret over Fed interest-rake hike

(POLITICO) The general election is still almost a year away. But much about the economic picture that will frame the 2016 presidential race will come into the focus in the next two weeks as the Federal Reserve prepares to raise interest rates for the first time in nearly a decade and the job market improves to levels not seen since 2007.

The overall backdrop — an economy that is strong enough for the Fed to start hiking rates — should favor Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton.

But the first Fed move, which is widely expected to come on Dec. 16, presents a potential wild card that could roil global markets, slow U.S. growth and provide an opportunity for Republicans in an economy that retains significant structural problems that have left many voters deeply frustrated and casting about for tough-talking outsiders like Donald Trump.

Murdoch unloads on Obama, Kerry, the left

(POLITICO) News Corp CEO Rupert Murdoch, in a discursive speech Monday evening, blasted Secretary of State John Kerry and attacked the left for creating an “identity crisis” that he charged has undermined American strength and fostered terrorism around the world.

And he drew a connection between U.S. foreign policy and domestic culture, arguing that “in recent years, there has been far too much institutionalization of grievance and victimhood.”

The Australian-born media mogul, a naturalized U.S. citizen, also touched on the Republican presidential primary, which he said “has articulated a deep distaste for the slow descent of our country.”

Feds release 7,800 pages of Clinton emails

The State Department released 7,800 pages of Hillary Clinton emails, including one marked “secret” that contained information about U.S. foreign relations.

The Hill noted that particular email spoke about the federal investigation of the 2012 attack on America’s compound in Benghazi, Libya, that left four Americans – including Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens – dead. The email was written in the wake of the arrest of suspects “who may” have been tied to the attack, the Hill said.

The email classified “secret” follows an inspector general report that found a couple of previously released emails from the former secretary of State’s private, home–based email server contained “top secret” information, which is the highest tag possible for sensitive data.

The document dump late Monday was the largest batch of emails released by State to date. Two–thirds of Clinton’s court–ordered emails have been released, the Hill reported.

“Meeting this goal is a testament to our commitment to releasing to the public these emails as expeditiously as possible,” said State Department spokeswoman Elizabeth Trudeau.

A federal court ordered the release of 55,000 pages of Clinton’s emailed messages from her tenure as secretary of State. The emails were stored on the private server she set up in her home in New York.

Ted Cruz: ‘Majority of violent criminals are Democrats’

Sen. Ted Cruz, who’s recently been pulling a bit stronger in polls for president, told a national listening audience on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show most violent criminals are Democrats, and that the media is involved in an active campaign to cover or ignore this fact.

The context of his statement was discussion of the Planned Parenthood shootings and the question of media coverage focusing on the so–called violent pro–life movement.

Cruz said, according to audio posted at Mediaite: “Every time you have some sort of violent crime or mass killing you can almost see the media salivating, hoping – hoping – desperately that the murderer happens to be a Republican so they can use it to kind of paint their enemy.”

But most violent offenders lean left on the political scale, he said.

Can the Republican Party save itself? Richard Viguerie has the prescription in “Takeover.”

“Now here’s the simple and undeniable fact,” Cruz went on. “The overwhelming majority of violent criminals are Democrats. The media doesn’t report that.”

Why not?

“There’s a reason why the Democrats for years have been viewed as soft on crime,” he said. “[It’s] because they go in and appoint to the bench judges who release violent criminals … they go in and fight to give the right to convicted felons. Why? Because the Democrats know convicted felons tend to vote Democrat. So the media never reports on any of that, doesn’t want to admit any of that, but you can see every time there’s a terrible crime, they’re just so excited, ‘Come on please, one of these be a Republican so we can try to paint the other side.’ It is one of the more egregious example of media bias and it is something we see over and over again.”

Marine collecting toys for tots booted from Walmart

A former Marine in full dress who has spent the past 15 years collecting for the Toys for Tots charity at the Walmart Supercenter in Medina, Ohio, was shocked when he went to assume his post inside the store but was told by management: You need to stay outside.

In previous years, John Harkness, the former Marine who’s dressed in full uniform to collect for the charity, has been allowed to stay inside the Walmart, out of the cold. But apparently, the store policy, enacted in 2000, prohibits charity collectors from standing inside the store.

Fox News reported the Walmart for years ignored that policy for Harkness. But a change in management this year brought a change in reaction to Harkness.

“They made us stay outside,” Harkness said to WOIO, a CBS affiliate. “We’re there to collect toys for children that need a Christmas.

At least one shopper passing the shivering former Marine on her way to Christmas shop expressed outrage at the treatment he received from Walmart.

“I just said, why can’t they put you inside? This is crap,” said Mary Murdock, to WOIO.

And a photo posted of Harkness on Facebook was similarly critical of Walmart.

The text alongside the photo read: “He can bleed and die, but he can’t stand inside.”

Some responding to the post called for a boycott of Walmart, CBS reported.

Walmart, meanwhile, released a statement about store policy, and said officials would investigate.

“If a Marine or anyone was treated with disrespect, that is unacceptable and we are looking into this matter further to get the facts,” Walmart’s statement said. “Walmart’s corporate policy across our more than 4,500 stores does not allow this type of solicitation inside our stores and we apologize for any confusion about this policy.”

Illegals sue Oregon over denial of drivers’ licenses

Illegal immigrants are getting a push from the White House to demand citizens’ rights.

Five illegal immigrants in Oregon have banded together to launch a lawsuit against the state, claiming a voter–approved referendum that denies them the ability to obtain drivers’ licenses is unfair and discriminatory.

A referendum called Measure 88 passed voter muster last year with a two–third majority, disallowing illegals the right to obtain licenses to drive. Now, five illegals say Measure 88 is unconstitutional because it “arbitrarily” denies driving privileges based on status as a “disfavored minority group,” the suit alleges, Fox News reported.

The suit also accuses Oregon voters of being driven by “animus toward persons from Mexico and Central America.”

Gustavo Recarde, who’s an illegal but not one of the parties to the suit, said he would like a driver’s license to feel more comfortable in the United States and to open the doors of work opportunity.

“If an illegal [can] get a driver’s license, it would be better because there’s more opportunities to find a job as a driver,” he said, adding that he believes race was a factor in the passage of Measure 88, Fox News reported.

But Cynthia Kendoll, who heads up Oregonians for Immigration Reform, said state residents shouldn’t have to compromise rule of law just to make illegals feel more comfortable, or find employment they don’t have the legal right to obtain in the first place.

Vaccine-promoting scientists admit more flu shots make you more susceptible to flu, yet still encourage you to get more

Even though researchers have found that people who get annual flu vaccines are more prone to the flu than those who have vaccinated only in the previous year, they still recommend annual flu shots. If this doesn’t show that flu vaccines are more about money than health, I don’t know what will.

Of course, evidence shows that the flu vaccine is hardly effective at all. Last year, for instance, most of the patients whom doctors were treating for flu symptoms had been vaccinated, even though only an estimated 40 percent of Americans had received the shot.

According to independent research by The Cochrane Library, in a year when researchers accurately predict which strain of flu will be predominant, 10 people have to be vaccinated to prevent one case of the flu. In years in which researcher’s predictions miss the mark, it’s one case prevented for every 30 vaccinated. According to research published in The Lancet, flu vaccines prevent the flu in only 1.5 percent of cases. But last year’s flu vaccine wasn’t even that effective.

Last year’s vaccine missed the mark and was not effective for the most common stain of flu — H3N2 — that circulated in the United States. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s rosiest claims put it at about 33 percent effect, or about half as effective as usual. But that’s quite different from the number reported by Public Health England, which claimed 3 percent to 4 percent effectiveness.

Of course, the CDC lies about the number of annual flu cases and deaths, as I have told you before.

Researchers are now even admitting that the H3N2 component of the flu vaccine is not as effective as has been claimed in the past. And David Brownstein, M.D., has pointed out that 217 people must be vaccinated with Fluzone High-Dose to prevent one case of the flu. That means 216 people paid double the price for the Fluzone High-Dose (over the cost of Fluzone) but received no benefit whatever. Additionally, doctors and pharmacies giving the shots don’t tell you that during the Fluzone High-Dose trial, 249 people out 3,833 trial participants either died or suffered a serious reaction as a result of the vaccine.

Bottom line: I avoid the flu shot like the plague. The flu vaccine is ineffective at preventing the flu and can be quite harmful. Flu vaccines contain aluminum and mercury — both toxins, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. The amount of mercury found in the GlaxoSmithKline Flulaval vaccine was 51 parts per million, more than 25,000 times the contaminant level established by the EPA.

Vitamin D3 and other natural supplements to help you reach peak immunity are much more effective and don’t cause toxic poisoning, Guillain-Barre syndrome and other afflictions.
