Was Rush Limbaugh right that the American flag would be put on the chopping block?
Rush Limbaugh – who just said on his nationally broadcast radio show this week that once the Confederate flag’s removed from the public sector, the U.S. flag was next – has already been proven correct: Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan is appealing to followers to do just that.
Farrakhan made the remarks before the Metropolitan AME Church in Washington, D.C., WMAL reported.
He first referenced the prayer vigils and marches held in Charleston, South Carolina, that drew mourners from all ethnic backgrounds to gather in honor of the nine church shooting victims. He then said: “White folks march with you because they don’t want you upsetting the city. They don’t give a damn about them nine.”
Farrakhan then called for a widespread rebellion against the American flag.
“I don’t know what the hell the fight is about over the Confederate flag,” he said, Breitbart reported. “We need to put the American flag down. Because we’ve caught as much hell under that as the Confederate flag.”
Those in the crowd applauded and cheered, and Farrakhan then said: “Who are we fighting today? It’s the people that carry the American flag.”
Limbaugh, as previously reported by WND, predicted this a couple days ago: “The next flag that will come under assault, and it will not be long, is the American flag. It is gonna happen. We are trending that way.”
He was scoffed for his comments by many, including Fox News’ Ed Henry and Greg Gufeld. Henry proclaimed on Fox & Friends on Wednesday morning Limbaugh’s prediction was aimed at drawing ratings, while Gutfeld called the idea “absurd” and a “fear tactic” on the most recent broadcast of “The Five.”
