‘Nationwide shut down’ planned for Inauguration Day

Progressives protesting the outcome of Tuesday's presidential election desecrated one of New Orleans' oldest monuments.

Progressives protesting the outcome of Tuesday’s presidential election vandalized a New Orleans monument with words “Die whites die.”

A self-avowed Marxist member of the Seattle City Council who is part of the George Soros-funded Occupy Wall Street movement has called for a “massive protest” against President-elect Donald Trump and a “nationwide shut down” on Inauguration Day.

Kshama Sawant went on an anti-Trump rant following the election that stirred up progressives’ emotions against Trump voters, calling them part of “a racist agenda.”

Sawant held a press conference calling for a mass protest in Seattle. That protest was attended by students, members of Seattle’s LGBTQ community, as well as Occupy members and Muslims.

One woman took the podium in a hijab and unleashed a profanity-laced tirade.

“I am told, ‘do not wear the hijab or you will be targeted.’ I say F— you!” she screamed into a megaphone.

The councilwoman, Sawant, who was born in India and became the first socialist to win a city-wide election in Seattle since Anna Louise Strong was elected to the school board in 1916, said America cannot accept Trump and his “racist agenda” so he must be stopped.

“I appeal to you: Today at 4 o’clock, Westlake, let’s have a massive protest, and tell America we do not accept a racist agenda. And, let’s make sure that, on Inauguration Day, on the 20th and 21st of January, let’s do a nationwide shutdown and Occupy inauguration.”

Sawant, besides being a socialist and community organizer who agitates through the Occupy Wall Street movement, is also a self-avowed Marxist with membership in the Committee for a Workers International, a Trotskyist organization based in Britain.

As an economics professor at Seattle Central Community College, she agitated against the state of Israel, calling on President Obama to cut off all aid to the Jewish state. The college did not renew her teaching contract when it expired more than a year ago.

In a May 2013 speech at the University Temple Methodist Church in Seattle Sawant said it “is a very odd profession for a Marxist to be an economist in today’s world. So, I have to swim against the stream. But the most interesting thing that is happening since two years ago is that the tide is starting to turn” in favor of socialism and against capitalism.

She continue by declaring the “root of all problems is capitalism,” adding:

“Hopefully we will all feel empowered by that. When I say ‘we’ I mean Socialist Alternative. I’m a member of Socialist Alternative. It’s a nationwide organization of socialists and activists. And as you might guess we have been since about 1985 very active in fighting various battles for social and economic justice…. Our approach as socialists, as Marxists, is that, a lot of the problems that we see, and a lot of problems that progressives and young people and women feel a lot of anger,  justifiable anger and outrage about, are not isolated issues.

“And If you’re angry about the tax on the reproductive rights of women, if you’re angry about the almost skyrocketing of rape cases and just gruesomeness of sexual violence, if you’re angry about the tax on LGBT rights, if you’re angry about how hard it is to fight for LGBT rights… all these questions are so interrelated because they’re stemming from a system that unendlessly and relentlessly creates conditions for all these problems. And of course that system is capitalism.”

Watch Sawana’s speech to Seattle Methodists in which she openly boasts of being a Marxist and blames all of America’s problems on capitalism, which she says must be replaced:

Clearly, revolutionaries like Sawant have found a precipitating event, the election of Donald Trump, upon which to base an uprising. Only this time it may be more violent with Muslim Brotherhood and Black Lives Matter elements joining socialists in the Occupy movement.

A senior Muslim Brotherhood executive, Khalilah Sabra, announced at a national conference of the Muslim-American Society in December 2015 that the Brotherhood planned to team up with non-Muslim radicals to initiate a revolution in America, as WND reported.

Khalilah Sabra is a Muslim Brotherhood operative who has openly advocated for a violent revolution in America.

“You are the new black people of America,” Sabra told her Muslim audience gathered in Chicago. “We are the community that staged a revolution across the world. If we can do that, why can’t we have that revolution in America?”

“You know what you should do,” she continued. “And if you do it, Allah has promised us the same victories he granted to those who came before us.”

Will the election of Trump be the linchpin that the socialists, the Muslim Brotherhood and other radicals will seize upon to launch their “revolution?”

Protests erupted immediately after the election results were announced in Oakland and Portland on the West Coast. Last night they spread to New York, Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, Boston, Denver, Philadelphia, Austin, San Francisco and New Orleans with several experiencing burning of flags, vandalism and looting.

In New York thousands of protesters temporarily blocked the entrance to Trump Tower Wednesday night.

In Atlanta protesters smashed windows of businesses and burned cars.

In Los Angeles, a large protest beginning at Pershing Square continued to City Hall, and several protesters were arrested after streaming onto the 101 Freeway near downtown, closing it to traffic late into the night. There were reports of rocks and bottles being thrown. The Los Angeles Times reported protesters burned a Trump head in effigy and spray-painted news vans and the LAT building.

In New Orleans, hundreds showed up to denounce the election of Trump–but despite media reports of a peaceful gathering, the crowd grew increasingly hostile and violent, according to Breitbart Texas sources on the ground.

Students holding signs reading “End white supremacy” originally gathered on the steps of the Lee Circle monument before the demonstrations turned destructive, according to Breitbart writer John Binder.

Lee Circle was fully covered in graffiti with phrases like “Black Power” and “Dismantle White Supremacy.”

Later, an effigy of Trump was burned while glass windows at a nearby bank were shattered.

Other phrases like “No Trump, no KKK” were used to vandalize surrounding areas, as well as the threatening phrase “Die whites die” and “F*ck Trump.”

President Obama, just days before the election, said in a stump speech for Hillary Clinton that Trump’s supporters included members of the KKK.

In Los Angeles, Mayor Eric Garcetti issued the following statement Thursday morning on the protests in his city:

“One of our greatest privileges as Americans is the right to free expression. Last night, thousands of Angelenos came together publicly to make their feelings known.
I understand that the results of Tuesday’s election are painful for many of us, and this kind of engagement can be a meaningful part of the healing we need after such a long and divisive campaign. But walking and throwing objects onto freeways is dangerous for pedestrians and drivers — and it puts a heavy burden on people just trying make it home to their families or get to work safely.
I am proud that the demonstrations in Los Angeles have been mostly lawful and peaceful, and that our officers are working with demonstrators to keep people out of harm’s way. Protests can, should, and must proceed in that spirit — and I urge everyone to look out for their fellow Angelenos and put safety first.”
