Former Disney child star Miley Cyrus thinks Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is “a total goddess” and says she finds it “ridiculous” that any Bernie Sanders’ supporter would still be undecided about whether to vote for Clinton or “horrible and nasty” Donald Trump.
Cyrus, who long ago tossed away her squeaky-clean image as the girl-next-door to transform herself into a chain-smoking, tongue-wagging, twerking, pansexual singer, talked about hitting the campaign trail for Clinton during a recent appearance on “Ellen.”
“We don’t always get what we want, so you do with what you have,” the 23-year-old judge on “The Voice” said. “And these are your choices, and it’s terrifying if someone besides Hillary Clinton – we shouldn’t even say the name – becomes president. So I think she’s a total goddess, and I just love her. And I’m really excited to see her for the next four – maybe eight – years.”
“I hope you’re right,” DeGeneres replied.
Miley Cyrus is a judge on the NBC show “The Voice.”
In a column, Charisma News managing editor Jennifer LeClaire heaped scorn on Cyrus and her remarks.
“It doesn’t take a prophet to see that the wicked one is using Miley Cyrus to lead a generation astray,” LeClaire wrote.
LeClaire pointed out that a goddess, by definition, is a “female deity in polytheistic religions with supernatural powers or attributes — and they are worshiped.”
She also noted “some have argued Hillary is under the influence of false gods – namely demons like Jezebel.”
LeClaire also took aim at the former “Hannah Montana” star for turning young fans “toward all manner of perversion” with her “lewd dancing and pansexual status.”
“We know Miley is not worshiping the God of her father and mother, and seems bent toward worshiping any other god. Recently, it was revealed she’s showcasing false gods all over her Los Angeles home. So this shouldn’t be surprising. But the implications of her twisted devotion to her new favorite goddess are troubling for the nation,” she concluded.
Cyrus was in Virginia last weekend campaigning for Clinton and knocking on dormitory doors on the campus of George Mason University.
“The reason actually I was such a Bernie supporter in the beginning was because of how he’s been for the LGBTQ community from the beginning,” said Cyrus. “Hillary, I think she’s grown and that’s what it is, it’s just about we should celebrate progress, and not perfection,” she told DeGeneres.
