At the same time, WND was informed by Google that a fake app purporting to be with WorldNetDaily was in violation of WND copyright and is being removed from the app store.
WND reported in July on the trouble that had caused readers, and warned against downloading it.
It had prompted dozens of complaints to WND, but it was unconnected to the company.
The impersonator explained: “Legal jargon, All copyrights are owned by their respective owners” and pointed out that “this application is not endorsed by, or affiliated with World Net Daily.”
But WND readers likely would know that the company name was changed to WND, from WorldNetDaily, years ago.
The app said it is affiliated with Ted Wolf Productions.
Among the complaints were popup ads, malware and spyware.
