(The Hill) Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz on Friday “rickrolled” his followers, pulling an April Fools’ Day prank on who want to see him in a one-on-one debate with rival Donald Trump.
Cruz tweeted “Happy to hear @realDonaldTrump accepted my challenge to debate one-on-one,” with a link to a video on his website.
The video begins by Cruz challenging Trump to a one-on-one debate, a request he’s made several times. It then moves to clips of Trump saying he’s won “every single debate” and “we’re going to go on forever with these debates.”
