Calls are beginning to surface for NBC to release the full interview it did with Juanita Broaddrick years ago. That was the interview that created an embarrassing moment for the Clintons at the time part of it was released, what with her allegations Bill Clinton attacked and raped her.
Then it created an embarrassing moment for the network just weeks ago when it had to censor its own archive after an anchor described the allegations contained therein “discredited.”
Because they weren’t discredited.
Now Brent Bozell of the Media Research Center says perhaps it would be good for America’s public to see the whole interview – what was broadcast and what was edited out.
It’s because of the media’s full-throttle effort to put on the air anyone with a claim that GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump touched them, and the fact that the Broaddrick recording may shed some unwelcome light on Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton.
The recording is of an interview with NBC’s Lisa Myers in 1999 for the network’s “Dateline.”
Bozell’s organization explained that NBC just last week released an 11-year-old “sex talk tape” with Donald Trump. It came “just in time to exert maximum damage against him.”
But what about the Broaddrick recording?

One that could damage Hillary Clinton’s presidential plans.
Said Bozell, “This week we learned NBC was attempting to fix the election by strategically releasing the Donald Trump sex talk tapes in time to do maximum damage. Now, shockingly, we learn that NBC is suppressing a damning 1999 video interview with Juanita Broaddrick. This interview purportedly shows Hillary Clinton trying to intimidate Broaddrick to not talk about her rape allegations against Bill Clinton,” he said.

“The indictments against NBC continue to grow. It is guilty of journalistic corruption of the highest order. If they do not release this interview unedited, they should be denounced by the entire journalism community. No one can deny that NBC is as dishonest as it is partisan. How anyone with any sense of journalism ethics can work there, I don’t know.”
The MRC-affiliated Newsbusters reported the demand for the unedited video actually started with former NBC investigative reporter Michael Isikoff, who said the network should release it.
It is “amazing,” he said, “to watch how [Democrats] who attacked those women are now embracing the Trump accusers, while the Rs who believed them attack them.”
Clinton’s campaign has been desperate to put a positive spin on Bill Clinton’s sexual history, with multiple women making allegations against him. He even settled the claims by one with an $850,000 payment.
Clinton’s surrogates have been reaching far for their angle.
On “The View,” Whoopi Goldberg “ignorantly” alleged the women who report they were assaulted by him “slept with him knowing he was a married man … so … she [Hillary] is the victim here.”
The interview with Broaddrick was broadcast Fevb. 26, 1999, after she claimed then-Arkansas Attorney General Bill Clinton raped her in a hotel room in 1978.
NBC Correspondent Lisa Myers did the interview and found Broaddrick credible. As recently has two months ago, Myers said, “Nothing has come up since that story was reported that in any way undercuts what Juanita Broaddrick said.”
The report said, “NBC and Myers never made any mention of Hillary Clinton in their Broaddrick interview, but Broaddrick told Sean Hannity and others that Hillary came up to her and shook her hand firmly after the assault, saying something like ‘I just want you to know how much Bill and I appreciate what you do for him.’”
Isikoff reported that Myers later confirmed Broaddrick’s claim NBC edited out references that could have damaged Hillary Clinton.
WND reported earlier that Trump released an ad featuring the voice of Broaddrick.
It was NBC’s Andrea Mitchell who claimed Broaddrick’s allegations were “discredited,” and a subsequent letter from a lawyer for Broaddrick convinced the network to even go back into the archived video and edit out the word.
Broaddrick says: “He starts to bite on my top lip and I try to pull away from him.”
The ad:

Trump had charged on Fox News that that the former president committed “rape.”
On the same day, Broaddrick described in a WND exclusive sit-down interview in her Arkansas home how the alleged 1978 sexual assault has deeply and permanently scarred her life. Broaddrick also noted that she recently received a phone call from Andrea Mitchell, who was seeking an update on her rape claim.
“Lisa Myers actually warned me about Andrea,” Broaddrick told WND after Mitchell called her claim “discredited.”
Broaddrick has become engaged in this year’s election because of Hillary Clinton’s candidacy. She tweeted earlier: “I was 35 years old when Bill Clinton, Ark. Attorney General raped me and Hillary tried to silence me. I am now 73 … it never goes away.”

She had explained that her statements were prompted by Hillary Clinton’s claim that victims of sexual assault should be believed.
“Thoroughly disgusting – Hillary’s comments on rape. Shame on you Hillary, shame on you!” she wrote.
Other networks later followed Mitchell’s lead, with ABC’s Tom Llamas calling Broaddrick’s statements “discredited” and Nancy Cordes’ on CBS saying: “They were referring to a trio of women who say Bill Clinton made unwanted sexual advances in 80s and 90s. Mr. Clinton denies it. Two of the cases were plagued by factual discrepancies.”
Broaddrick was interviewed byLos Angeles attorney Candice Jackson, who conducted the in-person interview with Broaddrick for WND. Jackson previously authored the acclaimed book “Their Lives: The Women Targeted by the Clinton Machine.”
“And if NBC now thinks my experience has been ‘discredited,’” Broaddrick continued, “why would Andrea Mitchell call me to ask me for any new information about my encounter with Hillary after the assault? And why wouldn’t Andrea Mitchell have written her own news story explaining exactly how I’ve been discredited? Lisa Myers actually warned me about Andrea. Andrea is obviously mad at me for exposing her rudeness and bias when she called me this year. I think being a lapdog for Hillary Clinton discredits Andrea Mitchell and NBC as journalists!”
