Megyn Kelly lands interview with Donald Trump

At long last, GOP front-runner Donald Trump has agreed to an interview with fiery Fox News star Megyn Kelly, putting to end – at least for the time being – a long-running and public feud that has played out between the two for much of the 2016 presidential campaign season.

Talk about a possible interview started quietly a couple weeks ago, after Kelly visited Trump to discuss their public sparring and to see if they could clear the air. Apparently, they have: the interview is set to air on May 17 on Kelly’s highly rated cable show, Politico reported.

A day later, Fox will air extended segments of their discussions.

Kelly sent out a statement, cheering the upcoming interview.

She said: “Mr. Trump and I sat down together for a meeting earlier this month at my request. He was gracious with his time and I asked him to consider an interview. I am happy to announce he has agreed and I look forward to a fascinating exchange – our first sit-down interview together in nearly a year.”

Fox News reported the special as an exploration of “how events unfolded with Trump after the August debate” as well as analysis of “Trump’s successful campaign for the White House to date and his role in one of the most historic presidential runs in modern times.”

The two have been on cold terms since August, when Kelly asked what Trump regarded as a too-pointed and overly provocative question about his past treatment of women during the televised Fox News Republican primary debate.

Following, as WND reported, Trump took to Twitter and referred to Kelly as a “bimbo.” In December, as WND also reported, Trump also took issue with Kelly’s characterization of his campaign as floundering and tweeted, “@megynkelly is very bad at math. She was totally unable to figure out the difference between me and Cruz in the new Monmouth Poll 41 to 14.”
