Fully 63 percent of Americans participating in a new CBS poll say President Obama is off base when he thinks airstrikes alone can take out ISIS – that U.S. ground troops are needed.

Another 66 percent say Obama doesn’t have a clear plan for winning against ISIS, the Hill reported. And the vast majority of Americans believe refugees from Syria need much more scrutiny.

Specifically, 63 percent say the president ought to send in the U.S. troops to root out the terror threat and only 20 percent say airstrikes by themselves will prove successful.

The poll was conducted between November 19 and November 22 via a random sampling of 1,205 adults.

In “Stop the Islamization of America: A Practical Guide to the Resistance,” renowned activist Pamela Geller provides the answer, offering proven, practical guidance on how freedom lovers can stop jihadist initiatives in local communities.

Among other findings: Increasingly, Americans want a more selective process for letting in Syrian refugees.

“Americans are split on whether the U.S> should allow Syrian refugees into the country,” CBS reported. “[Forty-seven] percent say they should be allowed to enter as long as they go through a screening process, but slightly more, 50 percent, say they should not be allowed to come to the U.S. at this time.”

The pollsters also found big differences on the refugee matter by political party.

Ann Coulter’s back, and she’s never been better than in “Adios, America!: The Left’s Plan to Turn our Country into a Third World Hellhole.”

“There is a stark partisan divide on this: 68 percent of Republicans say Syrian refugees should not be allowed into the country at this time, while 63 percent of Democrats think they should be allowed,” CBS said.

As far as screening goes, though, the consensus is clear: “Nearly eight in 10 Americans (78 pecent) – including majorities of all partisan stripes – say it is necessary for Syrian refugees to go through a stricter security process than they do now,” CBS said.
