Hillary campaign to Black Lives Matter: ‘Let’s meet’

Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, who’s hanging on to a lead over self-declared socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary run for the presidency, agreed in a tweeted message from her campaign to a request to meet from Black Lives Matter activist DeRay McKesson.

McKesson first tweeted: “@Hillary Clinton, we look forward to the details of your criminal justice platform. Will you be available to meet before its release?”

And a day and a half later, Clinton’s campaign responded in the affirmative, Mediaite found.

“@deray: Let’s meet,” she wrote. “We want to hear from anyone ready to address this urgent problem and work toward solultions. Our team will follow up.”

Shortly after, McKesson took to Twitter to express his thanks.

“Thanks for the response,” he wrote. “Looking forward to the conversation.”

Colin Flaherty’s book, “Don’t Make the Black Kids Angry: The Hoax of Black Victimization and Those Who Enable It,” documents black crime in America and exposes how the media and politicians are willing partners in what the author calls “the greatest lie of our generation.”

As Mediaite pointed, Clinton’s tweet did not contain her signature “H” sign-off, meaning the message was most likely composed by somebody on her staff, speaking on her behalf.
