A revealing D.C. oops moment

To: Personal Liberty customer service
Subject: Another question

I don’t have Bob Livingston or Paul Cambone’s personal email, so I would appreciate if you would forward this note to them. They know me…

I think there is another area thinking Republicans need to probe. There are a surprising number of my Republican friends… and I am one of them… that if we put up one of the wingnuts or someone inexperienced, we will easily vote for Hillary. Several years ago, I would have never thought those words would come out of my mouth. She as Secretary of State earned many people’s respect. Despite the Benghazi issue… frankly watching that day, she ate the Republican panels alive, and we gave her tons of great air time to look professional while we looked partisan.

How would a question on the newsletter survey have read, if your Republican candidate isn’t the party’s choice or someone you don’t support, would you vote for Hillary Clinton?

I think we as Republicans might be surprised at the depth of her support or at least the concern for some of the extremists around the party. Bob knows I’ve live the R life professionally and personally for many years. I think there are many of us that think this party is losing its mind. We did better in taking it back in the last Congressional election, but we have a ways to go to sanity and governance.

Just a thought…

Dear Amy H.,

You have made a grievous error. I do not know you and I am not the adulterous former congressweasel from Louisiana who is currently enriching himself by plundering the national treasury on behalf of corporatist and Muslim interests. Nor do I, as you might guess, hold him or his partner, Cambon, in any regard.

Your comment, though, is quite revelatory: To wit, that everyone in the District of Criminals is drinking from the same polluted fountain of insular group think. Your, and the rest of the D.C. GOP establishment’s, acceptance, if not downright worship, of Hillary Clinton over so-called “wingnuts” who are “inexperienced” and your disdain for liberty and the people in flyover country demonstrate just how far down the rabbit hole you and your ilk have gone – and why you are losing and will continue to lose presidential elections and the loyalty of the rank-and-file.

The American system was not one set up for royalty or professional politicians. The Founders would be horrified at the notion that one must be an “experienced” politician in order to be deemed qualified for office, that there are people like you and the other Bob Livingston who earn substantial livings parasiting off of government (i.e., the people), and that you and your ilk consider those you plunder who advocate for smaller, more Constitutionally-driven governance as “wing nuts.”

I can assure you that many of the great unwashed masses out here in the hinterlands – those who support those you deem “wing nuts” — know that the party has lost its mind and you and Livingston and your fellow fascists are the problem. Or more accurately, they are finally awakening to the fact that the establishment for which you advocate is selling them out for power, prestige and the almighty dollar.

That you might support Hillary Clinton over one of the statist big government Republicans currently seeking the nomination, that you think Clinton “earned people’s respect” during her failed tenure as Secretary of State and “looked professional” in the Benghazi hearings in which she proclaimed “at this point what difference does it make?” while lying and concealing emails and evidence from the investigative committees; is concrete evidence that the Republican establishment cares not for the Constitution or the people but only for ensuring its gravy trains run unchecked and protecting its interests and fellow psychopathic D.C.-ites, and you have no concept of or empathy for the people’s wishes. And you and the GOP elites wonder why conservative voters stay home on Election Day?

Thank you for the poll idea. I can assure you that no more than 2 or 3 percent of the Personal Liberty audience would “vote for Hillary” regardless of the GOP nominee, and that few if any of those who would would consider themselves “Republicans” or conservatives. But most of all, thank you for this little insight into the establishment’s mindset. I have been telling my readers about this for many years, but your mistaken missive puts it into a whole new light for readers having trouble shaking the false left/right paradigm.

Best wishes from a “wing nut” but not fellow Republican,
Bob
