From Iran to Ipanema — and most points in between — it’s time for a look back at the week that was. Personal Liberty Digest® presents: The WIRE!
In addition to the $150 billion he’s already handed them, President Obama secretly airlifted $400 million to Iran during the release of Americans held captive by the world’s largest state sponsor of Islamic terrorism. But Obama promised the cash wasn’t a ransom.
“What? I forgot to get them a Ramadan card this year.”
According to Obama, the $400 million was payment for a weapons deal that went south before the 1979 Islamofascist revolution. It’s just coincidence that he chose that exact moment to make good on an IOU to a government that doesn’t even exist anymore.
“If you believe that, I’ve got a national “healthcare” system to sell you.”
No word what the Iranians plan to do with the loot, but they promised not to use it to fund more terrorism or build nuclear weapons.
It’s this kind of “diplomacy” that earned Madame Secretary a permanent spot on North Korea’s nuclear Christmas card list.
Meanwhile, the Pentagon announced this week that it will withhold a $300 million aid payment to Pakistan due to insufficient Pakistani efforts against Islamofascist militants within their borders.
Silly Pakistanis! Everyone knows that if you want Obama to pony up, you have to take hostages.
Not to worry, though. Obama reiterated this week that the ISIS Islamic terror group is “losing” and are “inevitably going to be defeated;” despite the global surge of attacks.
“Losing,” huh? Might want to tell them that.
Obama also told an audience this week that conservatives “should visit a country where government doesn’t work.”
Horrors! Sounds like a terrible place!
During an appearance on Fox News Sunday, Hillary Clinton said she doesn’t “hold any ill feeling” for Patricia Smith, the mother of Sean Smith, who died in the Benghazi terrorist attack.
How magnanimous of you, Hilldawg.
While the media ignored Nana repeatedly calling Mrs. Smith a liar, they were all over the story of the parents of Capt. Humayun Khan, who was killed in Iraq in 2004.
Their son was killed by Muslims, fighting in a war Hillary voted for. Of course it’s Trump’s fault.
Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood went full magnum force on the millennials this week, saying the social justice warriors’ “P.C.” culture had rendered them a “p*ssy generation.”
Inappropriate? Maybe. I’d like to see “pajama boy” tell him.
Trump kept hurling bombs all week, at one point even metaphorically describing Nana as “the Devil.”
The actual Prince of Darkness responded. “Hey, don’t lump me in with that monster!”
Obama pronounced Trump “unfit” to be president this week; although the brain-damaged sociopath who’s married to a serial rapist is aces in his book.
To be fair, being “unfit for the presidency” is kind of his thing.
Obama set a new record for clemency this week, commuting the sentences of 214 federal prisoners, nearly a quarter of whom were convicted on weapons charges. Why so lenient, President “Gun Sense?”
It was either let ’em walk, or send ol’ Fast and Furious to the big house.
Despite using her own toddler as a human shield while pointing a shotgun at officers, Gaines was killed by police after they tried to talk her down for hours, inciting anger in the same people who used social media to convince her to shoot it out in the first place.
They killed LaVoy Finicum for less. I don’t remember this much outrage then.
A Trump event got a bit awkward this week when rumors surfaced that Trump had thrown a baby out of a campaign event. Even the abortionists at Planned Parenthood called Trump on his reputed baby-booting.
They’re just confused that he’d willingly give up “inventory” like that.
Pity poor Seth Rich, a Democrat Party flack who was shot and killed in the “gun-free zone” of Washington, D.C. under exceedingly mysterious circumstances. But I’m sure Hillary Clinton had nothing to do with it.
Another victim of the “Fort Marcy Park flu.”
Following yet another DNC hacking scandal, Hillary Clinton held a campaign event in Las Vegas this week described as a “cyber security” fundraiser.
No doubt her husband took advantage of the Nevada visit to do a little “fundraising” of his own.
And the 2016 Summer Olympics got underway in Rio de Janiero this week. As usual, the Games have spurred plenty of predictions, even some about the coverage offered by NBC.
Which comes first: Bob Costas gets pinkeye or he works “gun violence” into his track & field commentary?
And that’s your week in review! For the Personal Liberty Digest®, I’m Ben Crystal saying “See you next week, on The WIRE!”
