(THE HILL) A former top aide to Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Tuesday said he would back Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton over her Republican counterpart, Donald Trump.
Mark Salter, who was a speechwriter on McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign, took to Twitter to lash out at Trump for his recent attacks on GOP rival Ted Cruz.
