More hypocrisy from the progressive left

The progressive left is consistently hypocritical if it is nothing else.

In the world of progressivism, Christian business owners are required to violate their religious liberties and provide goods and services in support of activities with which they disagree on religious grounds. Failure to do so results in lawsuits by “aggrieved” customers (customers we have since learned were often shopping for potential lawsuits rather than actually seeking goods and services) and heavy fines and forced appearances at re-education camps imposed by the state, as in the cases of Aaron and Melissa Klein, Baronelle Stutzman, Jack Phillips, Elane Huguenin, Robert and Cynthia Gifford and Rice Creek Hunting and Recreation.

The progressive argues that if one conducts business with the public he cedes his rights under natural law – the rights of religious liberty, property and freedom of association, to name a few. Those rights must be surrendered to the collective good and the business owner must provide its good or service regardless.

But that does not apply to progressives regarding things they oppose, apparently.

Bruce Springsteen has cancelled a concert in North Carolina in a protest over that state’s passage of a law requiring people to use the restroom coinciding with their biological plumbing.

Pearl Jam, Ringo Starr and Cirque du Soleil have also cancelled shows in North Carolina, and “filmmaker” Michael Moore has pulled his documentaries from the state’s theaters.

Tracy Morgan has cancelled a performance in Mississippi in protest of that state’s passage of a religious liberty law. Morgan apparently sees no irony in the fact that he is denying his services to his customers in Mississippi over a Mississippi law that has made it legal for business owners to deny their services.

Brian Adams also cancelled a show in Mississippi.

These refusals to conduct business with their customers are not only not condemned by the left or punished by the states, they are lauded by the progressive left and sodomite lobby.

The Kleins, Stutzman, Phillips, Huguenin, the Giffords and Rice Creek Hunting were all sued and fined for denial of service. Perhaps Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Starr, Cirque du Soleil, Moore, Morgan and Adams should also be sued for denial of services.

That’s assuming anyone really cares about seeing them.
