Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders
Lanny Davis, who served as special counsel to former president Bill Clinton, and who has maintained close ties to the Clinton family through the years, said he saw no difference between the two Democratic Party primary presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton and self-declared socialist Bernie Sanders.
He said, during a chat on “Alan Colmes Radio” on Fox: “Would you find me something they disagree on?”
He also ran down a list of the two candidates’ similarities.
“They both agree on universal healthcare,” Davis said, Breitbart reported. “They both agree on choice. They both agree on immigration reform. They both agree on the environment, on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, on every major anti-Wall Street proposal, they both agree on it.”
Davis then agreed the two candidates may separate slightly on Wall Street issues – but not as much as the campaign rhetoric might suggest, he said.
“Yes, there’s rhetoric about taking contributions from Wall Street, but so did Barack Obama,” he aid. “There’s rhetoric about her being soft on taking those donations, then she asked [Sander], name me one issue that influenced me. He couldn’t. … We all get overtaken by the rhetoric.”
