(New York Post) Bush family matriarch Barbara Bush has cut a campaign ad for her son Jeb — and the 90-year-old former first lady used the opportunity to get in a dig at Bush’s nemesis Donald Trump.
“When push comes to shove, people are going to realize Jeb has real solutions, rather than talking about how popular they are — how great they are,” she says in the online ad, in a reference to Trump’s knack for invoking positive polls and the “huge” crowds that come to see him.
“He’s doing it because he sees a huge need and it’s not being filled by anybody,” she says of her son. “Of all the people running, he seems to be the one who could solve the problems.”
