Black Lives Matter
Michael Whaley, a black man who served in the U.S. Marine Corps, told Megyn Kelly on a broadcast of Fox News the Black Lives Matter movement is promoting racism and the violence needs to stop.
“This Black Lives Matter movement only promotes racism,” he said on the broadcast, the video clip of which has since gone viral. “And now they’re encouraging black people to go and kill white people because they want white people to feel what we felt 400 years ago. Newsflash: Were you living 400 years ago? Nope … All lives matter.”
Whaley also said “there’s too much killing going on” and Black Lives Matter activists should cease and desist their promotion of violence.
“The Black Lives Matter movement only protests when a white officer kills a black person,” he said, Fox News reported. “This violence that’s going on has to be stopped. This racism that’s going on has to be stopped, because black people and white people, we’re not enemies.”
Whaley then referenced the upcoming generation and said blacks and whites should put aside differences for the sake of the children.
“I’m worried about my kids and your kids and the future,” he said. “That’s what matters. Their lives matter. All lives matter.”
He also told Kelly he’s received “hateful” feedback from many in the black community.
“Black people can’t accept the truth about themselves,” he said, adding the Black Lives Matter movement was pressing blacks to “throw away their lives,” Mediaite reported.
