Radio host ‘liberates’ minorities from dependence

Spreading the “good news” of independence from big government – especially to blacks and Latinos – Carl Jackson joins WND’s commentary lineup today as an exclusive weekend columnist.

Jackson, a talk-radio host in Orlando, Florida, was the youngest of six children who struggled through the early loss of his mother, two stints in jail and the fathering of a child out of wedlock. “By the grace of God,” he explains, Jackson came to faith in Jesus Christ. His study of the Bible and the history of America led him to a new understanding of the role of government in the lives of people.

Of the U.S. Constitution, Jackson commented, “Its divine and exceptional nature is undeniable.”

It was this newfound love for American history and constitutional government that led Jackson to discover the fact that the Democratic Party perpetuated slavery, formed the Ku Klux Klan and fought against the civil rights of minorities. Jackson then began a journey to help people of all races and backgrounds discover facts about America’s past, as well as realize the benefits of utilizing their God-given gifts and talents, “which far outweigh any benefit from a government subsidy or program,” Jackson explains.

Through his work as a columnist and talk-show host, Jackson encourages people of faith to get involved in the political process and become “more than just pew warmers for Christ.” Jackson says he’s also committed to helping minorities, particularly blacks and Latinos, to divorce themselves from dependence upon big government, as well as “communicating conservative values in layman’s terms in order to reach constituents the political right has been unable or too afraid to reach.”

Jackson’s radio program is featured on Salem Media Group’s Orlando affiliate, AM660 The Answer, every Saturday morning at 8 a.m. Eastern. He lives in Orlando with his wife and daughter. More information about Jackson, along with the opportunity to follow him on social media or listen to archived shows, is available at his website, carljacksonshow.com.
