(SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE) A buxom blonde wearing an outfit adorned with a Confederate battle flag and topped by a police officer’s hat delivered a kinky singing telegram to a San Francisco judge in his courtroom, handcuffing the soon-to-retire jurist and giving him a whip to play with, according to two knowledgeable sources.
Courthouse staffers, uncomfortable with the noontime party high jinks inside Judge Richard Kramer’s courtroom Thursday, reported the incident to other judges, and the hammer quickly came down on the affair.
By Friday, acting Presiding Judge Teri Jackson, the first female African American on the San Francisco Superior Court bench, fired off an e-mail to the court’s roughly 50 judges, and without naming names, reminded them of their “essential” ethical responsibilities to “maintain the highest standards of integrity and dignity” in their courtrooms.
