Anti-abortionists say they’ve hacked Planned Parenthood

Anti-abortion hackers say they’ve broken into the online files of Planned Parenthood and are threatening to release internal data and worker information.

This follows on the release over the last two weeks of undercover videos from a group called the Center for Medical Progress showing Planned Parenthood executives negotiating with people they believe to represent a company dealing with the procurement of fetal tissue for research over the prices for various body parts from unborn babies.

One of the Planned Parenthood executives notes that the money isn’t important, but she does want a Lamborghini, an exotic supercar that starts in the $200,000 price range.

The new hackers are also vowing to release internal emails circulated among the nonprofit’s staff, the Daily Dot first reported.

The hackers reportedly gained access to the organization’s website databases as well as names and email addresses of the organization’s employees.

“Trying to mold an atrocious monstrosity into socially acceptable behaviors is repulsive,” said one of the hackers, going by the name “E,” to the blog. “Obviously what [Planned Parenthood] does is a very ominous practice. It’ll be interesting to see what surfaces when it is stripped naked and exposed to the public.”

Planned Parenthood, for its part, said officials are investigating.

“We’ve seen the claims around attempts to access our systems,” said Dawn Laguens, the executive vice president of Planned Parenthood, in a statement reported by the Hill. “We take security very seriously and are investigating. It’s unsurprising that those opposed to safe and legal abortion are participating in this campaign of harassment against us and our patients and claiming to stoop to this new low.”

The hackers reported they were exploiting an error message returned from the website to try to manipulate various components.

WND has reported on the revelations from the CMP videos, and the surge in demands for the organization’s $500 million plus in annual federal taxpayer subsidies be eliminated.
