Donald Trump, billionaire businessman and 2016 presidential hopeful, has responded to the treatment he’s received from Univision – which severed ties with the beauty pageant company he partially owns – with this threat: I’m suing, he said.
The threat came after Univision said in a statement, previously reported by WND, the television outlet was booting the Miss Universe Organization because of statements Trump made about Mexico, saying the country only sends rapists and other criminals across the border into America.
Trump, shortly after, sent out this statement, via his attorney, Michael Cohen: “We intend to pursue all rights and remedies available to Mr. Trump pursuant to the terms of the license agreement as well as a defamation case against Univision. The lawsuit is going to be for hundreds of millions of dollars,” Reuters reported.
Trump backtracked a bit on the amount of the suit in a subsequent interview with Fox News.
“Of course I have a signed contract: five years, they have to pay me almost $15 million,” he said.
